After a couple of weeks....I have finally got the recording PC working again.
Thanks to Greg for sorting out the bios chip... I had to install a new drive and reload some software...but at least my previous sessions were intact!
A reminder to self to make sure I have back-ups of system and recording disk. Don't want the same thing to happen again!!!
Took the opportunity to replace my DVD drive as well as the new hard drive...but now all back to stability.
I can now continue recording, producing and composing with one of my bands.
